Maybe should have been more accurately titled: Two goblets and a roemer – the last being a term for a type of drinking vessel studded with small blobs of glass called prunts and popular in the Rhineland between the 15th and 17th centuries.

There are people who are very particular about glassware which is why it is important to get these things right. Even so, I suspect my half-hearted attempt at erudition might eventually turn round and bite me
